INVASIVE WEEDS
Elodea and other invasive weeds can choke ponds and lakes making activities such and fishing and water sports virtually impossible. They compete for nutrients and space with other plants and can soon out-compete native species. Thee is no herbicidal treatment for submerged aquatic plants due to the banning of previously used chemicals.
Control is achieved by Aquatic Solutions UK using an amphibious weed harvester called a Truxor that can cut to a depth of 2 metres. The weed is then removed onto the bank to prevent re-growth.
The Truxor is extremely lightweight and arrives on a trailer towed behind a 4x4 vehicle, so no heavy lorries causing damage. As it is amphibious it can travel across wet and sensitive ground with no more impact than a human footprint. Ideal for Public Parks, Golf Courses and Domestic Property.
